PLEASE NOTE THAT INFORMATION ON THIS WEBSITE REPLACES ANY INFORMATION GIVEN ON WEBSITES ELSEWHERE (SOME OF WHICH WE ARE UNAWARE OF).
Angelus is licenced to take 12 passengers (anglers) plus 2 crew. She has plenty of space on deck, seating for more than 12, and a forward cabin where anglers can go to warm up, have a rest (or sleep) in the bunks (there are 5). There is also a WC on board. Trips are usually 9 hours because Grimsby is a gated dock (and Angelus a large vessel) we normally sail on the high tide and return on the next high tide. This of course means that the time we sail and return change daily with the changing tides.
We provide tea/coffee/hot chocolate all day (included in the price), and the kettle is always hot. Although we are unable to provide food, and recommend anglers bring a packed lunch, iwe can provide boiled water for pot noodle/cuppa soup.
Please note bottles of spirits (vodka, gin, whiskey etc) are not allowed on board for safety reasons . It is important to us that all anglers return safely to harbour at the end of their day, and one person who has had a little too much to drink can be a danger not just to themselves but also to other anglers and to the crew.
Wearing weatherproof clothing is recommended, and in winter essential. Seasoned anglers will have dry suits but anyone who does not will need waterproof footwear (eg wellies or workboots), warm clothes covered by a waterproof/ windproof jacket and waterproof/ windproof overtrousers. A warm hat and gloves is also a good idea.
There is free parking on the quayside next to the vessel, although please be aware that you leave your vehicles here at your own risk.
